This was my first time in almost 25 years. BTW, if you want your money back after the visit, don't keep wasting your time with their customer service guy "Felix", he's worthless. Do yourself a favor and go to Seaworld or Belmont park, much less money and your kids will thank you forever. Zip line will be extra money, everything in this park is at additional cost, even a drink is $6.00. Most of the animals are NOT at their habitat, always hiding. So you have to go to the cheetah show, unless you pay extra, you'll be 100 yards away from the "run" or get there 1 hour before the show. Next, you want to see the tigers, well, that's a problem, the cheetah run is about to start and they keep the tigers behind doors because they can see the cheetah running. The tour tram takes only 20 minutes to see rhinos, giraffes and some deer. Once you're inside the park, you need to go to the tram ride, waiting time will be minimum 1 hour unless you want to pay$65.00 per person to have a "private tour". Lets start, to park your car, they charge you $15.00, then you either walk for 15 minutes uphill or wait for the tram for 20 minutes. Terrible park to go, once you pay the admission to the park you'll have to pay more for the attractions or otherwise you're not going to be able to see them. We couldn't have asked for better weather or a more perfect visit to our favorite zoo. So don't be afraid to ask the red shirted volunteers any questions you have. And the volunteers gave us lots of interesting trivia about each of the animals and their personalities and what they enjoyed most at the zoo. The staff was so helpful every time we got lost. One teen had the veggie wrap that she really enjoyed and the tomato soup and grilled cheese was a big hit for the other. We had lunch at the Deli, I don't remember its name. And, we even enjoyed with our teens the bonsai garden and the cactus garden. And then the mama jumped 6 ft over the little stream! We saw the tree kangaroo in it's tree. And we saw one huge baby get into its mama's pouch. We saw the Australian walkabout which has three babies. We saw the cheetah and her dog up and about looking for new sunny spots to snooze. We saw two of the three tigers walking around. We even saw the chubby unicorns, the rhinos, having their breakfast. Again, the animals are up and active and eating and it was just wonderful. And make sure to take the tram especially if you can first thing. First thing in the morning ,especially on a cool or foggy morning, means the animals will all be still awake and active and usually playing with the enrichment the keepers have just put out. We arrived at about 10:30 in the morning when it was still cool. We were surprised at how not crowded the park was.
